🍤 Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta
🧄 Ingredients:
- 8 oz spaghetti (or your fave pasta)
- 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional for a little heat)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Juice of half a lemon
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
🍝 Instructions:
- Cook the pasta:
Boil water with a pinch of salt, cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside. Save 1/4 cup of the pasta water. - Cook the shrimp:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2–3 minutes per side or until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside. - Make garlic butter sauce:
In the same skillet, lower heat to medium, add butter and let it melt.
Stir in garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant (don’t burn the garlic!). - Combine it all:
Add the shrimp back to the pan, toss in the pasta, add lemon juice and a splash of the reserved pasta water if needed.
Sprinkle Parmesan and toss everything to coat. - Serve:
Plate it up and garnish with parsley and more cheese if you’re feeling cheesy 😏
